Coinbase FAQ

Does dTax support Coinbase Advanced Trade (formerly Coinbase Pro)?

Yes. dTax auto-detects both the standard Coinbase CSV and the Coinbase Advanced Trade transaction history format. Just upload the file from whichever account you use.

What if I have both Coinbase and Coinbase Advanced Trade accounts?

Upload both CSV files separately. dTax merges them into a unified transaction history and deduplicates any overlap based on transaction IDs.

Does Coinbase Card spending count as a taxable event?

Yes. Spending crypto via the Coinbase Card is treated as a disposal (sale) at the time of the transaction. These appear in your Coinbase transaction history and dTax handles them automatically.
