Exchange FAQ

How many exchanges does dTax support?

dTax includes 29 dedicated CSV parsers: Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, Gemini, Crypto.com, KuCoin, Bitstamp, Upbit, Robinhood, OKX, Bybit, Gate.io, Bitget, MEXC, HTX, Bitfinex, Poloniex, WazirX, CoinDCX, ZebPay, Cryptact, Koinly, CoinTracker, Etherscan, and more. Plus Generic CSV for any exchange and CCXT API for automatic syncing.

How do I import my transaction history from an exchange?

Export a CSV from your exchange's account settings or order history page, then upload it to dTax. The format is auto-detected — no manual column mapping needed. For exchanges with CCXT API support, you can connect with read-only API keys for automatic syncing.

Does dTax automatically detect my CSV format?

Yes. dTax recognizes Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, Gemini, Crypto.com, and 24 more exchange formats automatically. Just upload the file and dTax identifies the exchange and parses the transactions correctly.

My exchange isn't in the list — can I still use dTax?

Yes. Use the Generic CSV format, which works with any exchange that exports standard columns (date, type, asset, amount, value). dTax will parse and classify the transactions. You can also request native parser support on GitHub.

Are my API keys and transaction data safe?

API keys are AES-256 encrypted at rest. dTax never stores plaintext credentials. You can also use read-only API keys, which cannot execute trades. Full details at getdtax.com/security.

Don't see your exchange?

Use the Generic CSV format — it works with any exchange that exports a CSV with standard columns (date, type, asset, amount, value).
